Eleven Keys to an Effective New-Year’s Resolution

It seems natural to reflect on our lives at the beginning of a new year. It is normal to notice what you don’t want and from that position decide to make a change. The most effective way to make any change is to go within.


In order for your resolution to be effective, it is very important to not only focus on what is wanted but to also become a “vibrational match” to it. With that in mind, the following are the eleven keys to realizing any desire:


-        Feel Good:  Believe it or not, the better you feel (energetically, physically, emotionally, spiritually), the easier it becomes to “manifest” what you want. By doing all you can to “feel good,” you remove many of your own potential road blocks to your desires.


-        Focus on What is Wanted: It is necessary to solely focus on what is wanted.

Knowing what you don’t want is only helpful in that you have defined your preference. However, if you continue to focus on what you don’t want, more of what you don’t want will come.


-        Tune Your Frequency to Your Desire: This may seem very esoteric, but in practice it is really quite simple. This is where visualization is very helpful. Stop for a minute and allow yourself to focus and experience. (Perhaps close your eyes.) Imagine receiving whatever it is that you desire. Allow yourself to really FEEL it. That feeling is the frequency that you are tuning yourself to. By doing this often, that feeling will become second nature. When that happens, you have successfully “tuned” yourself to your desire.


-        Belief: When you have full belief and knowing that your desire is in process, you will know you are a vibrational match to it. As long as you have doubt, there is still a gap between you and your desire.


-        Specific or Something Better: While it is terrific to now know the specifics of what you want, remember, because your (our) limited frame of reference, there could be something even better that is available and perhaps even easier to realize!  While remaining focused on what is wanted, do your best to stay “unattached” to the outcome by “loosely holding” the desire, allowing The Universe to provide the best possible result.  


-        Trust: Know that The Universe and this Universal Law is working on your behalf. Expect success! Remind yourself that your desire is on its way as often as is necessary. It is!


-        Surrender the “How”: Your part in the process is knowing what you want and becoming a vibrational match to it. It’s The Universe’s job to figure out how to make it happen. Allow The Universe to figure out the “how.”


-        Awareness:  Stay vigilant. Watch for and expect to experience your desire. It could come at any time.


-        Mind Talk: Your mind can be a significant positive or negative influence. Practice positive expectation and internal dialogue. Stay aware of negative mind talk. When noticed, return focus to what is wanted. (Your mind may challenge the changes you are making, but will become quieter as you stand firm.)


-        Telling Others: While it is exciting to know that your desires are on their way, other’s unsupportive opinions can negatively shift your vibration if you buy into them. Therefore, it is better to just share your successes after they have been realized.


-        Conditioning: It is possible that something you wish to change is being subverted by a subconscious “program” that you are running. A subconscious program runs any time our conscious mind isn’t focused on the specific subject or task. Many times, these are created during our formative years. (Think living in an environment of “lack” as a child and thus, a “program” of “lack,” being set up in the subconscious, just as an example.) However, unhelpful subconscious programs can be changed by consciously and routinely affirming what is wanted.  (I am abundant. I easily manifest my desires. I am worthy to receive and experience my dreams, etc.) Notice the statements start with “I am” and are positive. Create your own affirmations and make a point to go over (and “feel them”) routinely. As you do this, you reprogram your new desire into your subconscious.

 

When you desire something, The Universe says Yes! However, it is up to you to shift your energetic frequency to become a vibrational match to it. When you do this, your desire must come! It’s the Law!
